You have left us,
now sleeping a few feet under the ground.
We remember the day you joined us,
such happiness for one more.
Long years have passed since the first day you had entered our lives,
so much has happened.
Wished for something impossible,
your mortality to never come.
Unfortunately every start must have an end,
yours came sooner then any of us wanted.
All of us feel an empty space in our hearts,
a void that you once filled.
That spot will always be vacant,
since exactly you will never be returning.
It can only get smaller with time being with those who remain.
